1. Didn't you have a studio on Sam Rittenberg? Yes we had a great studio on Sam Rittenberg for 15 years. We had a studio in Florence before that. In the fall of 2008 we decided to close the studio location on Sam Rittenberg Blvd. in order to pursue more location work and to be more flexible with a new botique style iof photography business. We have always worked extensively on location even when we had the studio. Closing the studio has been an important part of the ever involving creative process for us. The challenges and rewards of working on location, especially at client's chosen locations has opened up new world's of creative potential for us.
2. So what do you do now that you don't have a studio? We will come to you. Our hours are now very flexible with weekends and night time appointments available. the location possibilities are endless and many clients have been thrilled that we make housecalls. This works great, especially with small children involved in the portraits. Children always respond better in their own environments and of course it's much easier on parents!
3. You photographed a lot of weddings when you were in the studio . Do you still shoot weddings? We do but we pick and choose. Most of our wedding work is now booked through an agent. Call us for details. Kim Gissendanner has personally shot over 1600 weddings during his career. Gissendanner Photography has produced well over 2000 designer wedding albums from these events. Not many people can honestly claim that experience level so we don't try to compete with inexperienced photographers that don't have our abilitites. The wedding photography markets have become saturated with part timers who are improperly trained but who are advertised as professionals. Our list of clients includes athletes and sports figures, nationally known political figures, filmmakers, and other professional photographers. 4. Do you offer other wedding services? No but if you call about weddings we can put you in touch with our booking people, not only for our photography services but also for other services including consulting, direction, and anything else you made need on your wedding day.
5. What makes you different from other photographers? Probably the fact that I've accomplished more than most ever will in this industry. I've owned and operated 2 studios, 2 black and white custom film labs, managed a color film lab, and photographed a huge body of work with literally 100 's of thousands of images with a variety of subject matter.
6. Do you guarantee your work. Absolutely, with a smile! If you're not satisfied with the exceptional quality and creativity then we will give you the option of a reshoot or your money back.
